What is the Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC)?
The CBOC is a seven-member group appointed by the Byron USD Board of Trustees. The committee’s primary role is to review and report on school bond expenditures, ensuring that funds were used effectively and responsibly. CBOC members represent various segments of the community, including senior citizens, parents, business owners, and taxpayers.

Ensure Accountability: Play a crucial role in reviewing the expenditure of school bond funds, ensuring they were used as intended for school improvements and enhancements.
Represent Your Community: Provide valuable insights and perspectives from your segment of the community, whether you are a senior citizen, parent, business owner, or taxpayer.
Enhance Transparency: Help maintain transparency in school bond projects regarding the proper expenditure of bond funds, fostering trust and confidence among community members.
Who Can Apply?
The Byron USD Board of Trustees is seeking qualified and dedicated individuals who are committed to serving their community.
Applicants should be:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Not be an employee, official of the district or any vendor, contractor or consultant of the District.
Preference will be given to applicants who reside within District boundaries, however residence within District boundaries is not a necessary qualification.

Applicants will be appointed at the March 13, 2025 Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees
